Harnessing the power you generate with each movement, this Seiko Men's Kinetic Silver-Tone Watch #SKA347 features a dramatic black dial face, which is encased by a hardlex dial window. Silver-tone hour and minute indexes bring a stylish contrast, and an additional ring of Arabic numerals ensures an at-a-glance readability. A handy date calendar rests at the four o'clock position, and the stationary, stainless steel bezel is embellished with additional time-telling hour indexes. Other details include the silver-tone, stainless steel band that comes equipped with a fold-over-clasp-with-push-button closure, and a 40-millimeter stainless steel case. Powered by Japanese kinetic movement, this watch is water resistant up to 330 feet.

Kinetic: A powerhouse in technological innovation

Like mechanical and quartz, Kinetic is a platform. Over the past 20 years, SEIKO has created on this platform a suite of Kinetic movements, each bringing unique features to the consumer.

It was at the 1986 Basel Fair that SEIKO unveiled its first Kinetic prototype. Introduced under the trial name of 'AGM', it was the first watch in the world to convert kinetic movement into electrical energy. It was the first step in a development that, 20 years later, has made Kinetic synonymous with environmental friendliness, high performance and long-lasting convenience to a generation of users worldwide. From the launch in 1988 of the first commercially available watch (then under the new name AGS) until today, over eight million Kinetic watches have been sold (as of 2007).

In 1998, Kinetic Auto Relay was released, extending the 'at-rest' operating period of the watch to a remarkable 4 years. 1999 saw the launch of the Ultimate Kinetic Chronograph, a masterpiece which fused the very best of SEIKO's mechanical and electronic watch making skills, and in 2003 another Kinetic Chronograph was launched. At Baselworld 2005, the Kinetic Perpetual made its first appearance, combining Kinetic convenience and longevity with a perpetual calendar, correct to the year 2100. In 2007, SEIKO's emotional technology Kinetic Direct Drive is introduced.

Love It : Seiko Men's SKA347 Kinetic Silver-Tone Watch

I've had this watch for about 2 weeks now, and I have to say it's the best watch I've ever owned. So far, it hasn't lost or gained a second, and after a join days of regular use, it's charged up for about 4-6 months, agreeing to the display.
Pros:
* It looks Amazing, the black dial and silver band complement each other very well. It looks unquestionably sleek, and as someone else reviewer stated, it catches the light occasionally, and draws the eye. I've received Many compliments on it, and I didn't have to point it out to people.
* The kinetic movement is a plus; not having to worry about the battery is a great feature. A straightforward tap of the button at the 2 o'clock position moves the second-hand to indicate how long it can go.
* The dial is very clear, and you can read it with just a quick glance. This is especially handy if you want to know the time while in a conversation, but don't wish to offend the other person.
* The price I bought it at [$229] was very reasonable, and you won't find many watches of this potential at that price.
* It's just the right equilibrium of expert vs. Casual, so you can wear it all the time.
* It's minimalistic; it tells you only the time and date, which is all I could want from a watch.
* So far, it's been accurate, but I'll have to modernize the chronicle for that a join months down the line.

Cons:
* The luminescent markings on the dial aren't that great. If you walk indoors after being covering for a while, then it's very inevitable even in reasonably-lit conditions. However, it goes dim very fast, and after about 5-10 minutes, the luminescence is lost completely.
* It doesn't automatically compensate for months with 30 vs. 31 days, and you may have to adjust that manually.
* The watch won't fit your wrist right out of the box, you'll have to have a join of links removed. I put this down as a con in general because I couldn't find a sweet spot for my wrist size, so it's still a bit loose. If I remove someone else link, it's too tight.
* The warranty is very limited, but that's somewhat thinkable, from an online purchase.

In conclusion, this is a spectacular and well-priced watch that I highly recommend. I'm in university learning to be a journalist, and this watch is the excellent choice for professionals who wish to appear expert without going over-the-top. It unquestionably goes well with any attire, be it casual or business.
If you're inspecting buying this watch for yourself or as a gift for someone, look no further. I spent ages looking for a classy, conservative watch that wasn't too expensive, and this was the best choice I found.
